First of March 2022, Jan's daughter Fiona was born, bringing 3620 grams with her to this world:-) We wish Alba, Jan and Fiona a very special time together and send our warmest regards.

Ming Chen is a PhD-​Student of Prof. Emeritus Didier Sornette (Chair of Entrepreneurial Risks) here at MTEC and will join the TIM Group to finish his PhD-​studies. In doing so, Ming will be continuously supervised by Prof. Sornette. In his research, he seeks to understand cognitive processes in decision-making, using various models from physics (e.g., stochastic and quantum models). We are looking forward to working with Ming and wish him a very good start at the TIM Group!

Silvia Velmer joins the TIM Group as visiting PhD-student. Silvia is a 3^rd PhD-student from IESE Barcelona and works on social innovation/social enterprises. For the next six months, she will be involved in the Mobiliar project about “Cooperatives in a changing world” replacing Monique Bolli during her maternity leave. Silvia is originally from Milan, likes good food and wants to become a perfect skier during her time in Switzerland. Welcome Silvia!
