Dr. Hubert Annen (MILAK) about the Role of Psychology in the Swiss Armed Forces

Hubert is the head of military psychology and military pedagogy studies at the Swiss Military Academy (MILAK) since over 20 years and explains the group how the Swiss Armed Forces use psychological theory and methods to uphold organisational readyness and prepare its members for future challenges. Fields of particular relevance for Swiss military psychology are the assessment and training of military decision-makers on the level of militia and professional officers.
Dr. Emily Elsener (TIM Group) about Entrepreneurship and Consulting for the Common Good

For the last 6 years, Emily has worked as a co-founder to Capacity, a refugee and migrant startup incubator, and consultant in impact measurement and evaluation. In the her talk at the TIM Group, she explored what connects these diverse experiences, and how impact in its broadest sense is becoming a new buzzword/concept for those concerned about the state of society, and our relationship with our planet.
Seminar with Franziska Sump from the University of Southern Denmark
Today, Franziska presented her work with the title “Interpreting a Social Reference Point: Intra-Organizational Peer Performance Feedback on Exploration-Exploitation” to the TIM group. Franziska is a Postdoc at the at the Strategic Organization Design Unit, and her research interests lie at the intersection of strategy and organization design.

Jose Defends his Dissertation
On the 19th of January 2021, Jose will defend his dissertation with the title "Essays on Managing Uncertainty and Diversity": We all see the world in different ways. Yet the basic theories of organizational learning tend to assume that people in organizations share a single homogeneous point of view. In his thesis, Jose studies how stepping away from homogeneity can allow us to better manage the diversity and uncertainty in organizational learning
