Awards at SMS Conference in Istanbul
Our team made a strong impact at the Strategic Management Society (SMS) Conference in Istanbul, earning prestigious awards and presenting groundbreaking research. Zorica Zagorac-Uremović, Daniella Laureiro Martinez, and Ivan Lobo received two Behavioral Strategy awards—Best Proposal and Most Novel Proposal—for their work on "Multiple Goal Achievement in the Fragile Ecosystem of the Colombian Pacific Region."

One of the most downloaded papers at Strategy Science this week is The Evolutionary Dynamics of the Artificial Intelligence Ecosystem by Michael G. Jacobides, Stefano Brusoni, and François Candelon. The authors study how AI developers, manufacturers, and users intertwine and find Big Tech firms dominate downstream, upstream and in research. China, US and EU each promote a distinct ecosystem structure, and AI is seen to accentuate profit and firm size inequalities.
