In this paper, Ming and his supervisors present a review of discrete-time quantum walks (DTQW) as a potentially useful and rich formalism to model human decision-making. Today, ETH-News shared an article with the ETH-community outlining the research that the TIM Group conducts in collaboration with the Swiss Army. Zorica Leads a Virtual Seminar at the University of San Andrés in Buenos Aires.
Zorica participated in a virtual seminar at the University of San Andrés in Buenos Aires. She presented a paper on how business leaders frame problems with multiple goals that she co-authors with Axel, Ann, and Daniella. A number of professors, senior scholars, practitioners and Management students participated in the seminar.

Stefano, Daniella, Axel, David and Jan had the chance to take part in the this years Strategic Management Society Conference that took place in London. Apart from gaining new insights, there was also time for a common dinner at a nice Chinese restaurant:-)
Lorenz Lehmann, Deputy Head of Training for the MP Spez Det, at the TIM Group
Today, Lorenz Lehmann, deputy head of training for the MP Spez Det, a unit of the Swiss Army Special Forces Command, shared with the TIM Group how he pushes his operators to the highest standards of military performance. We identified strong overlaps in teaching; for instance regarding his units and the TIM Group's reliance on self-reflection, feedback, and personal responsibility. We very much enjoyed this inspirational seminar and are looking forward to collaborating with Lorenz!

The TIM Group Welcomes Oguzhan Okumus as New PhD Student!
Start of September, Oguzhan joined the TIM Group as a new PhD student. Oguzhan holds a MSc in Behavioral Economics from the University of Zürich and a BSc in Economics from the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich. We are very much looking forward to working with him and wish Oguzhan a very good start on this journey.
