Social Enterprise through a Circular Economy Model
In this impact chat, Marco Penazzi presented the social enterprise "Progetto Quid " to the TIM Group. Progetto Quid is a social enterprise that relies on a circular economy model developing new fashion items from textile leftovers of Italian fashion industry players. Likewise, the enterprise employs mainly women having a fragile social background. Thank you so much for this most interesting presentation Marco!
Strategy Consulting by Katharina Tomaschek
Katharina has worked as research assistant at the TIM Group and holds a Masters from D-MTEC. She has written her thesis jointly between ETH and MIT and identified with a global quantitative empirical study the broad user network and the challenges of NASA’s Technology Readiness Levels. She is since working at Boston Consulting Group and informed us about the challenging and exciting work of a strategy consultant.
Research Associate by Dr. Balint Dioszegi

After finishing his PhD at the TIM Group, Bálint Diószegi joined the Department of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Imperial College London in September, 2017. In his research, he focuses on the micro-level foundations of social networks and networking behavior. In our chat, Balint explained what reserch that he is currently working on and shared some personal learnings from his PhD period with the group.
Innovation Consulting by Dr. Florian Rittiner

Florian works at Spark Works AG where he consults corporations in the achievement of innovation, whether through design thinking or architecture. Moreover, Florian shared reflections about his personal fit with academia and industry, as well as the corresponding consequences for his personal career, with the group.
Talent Project Management by Dr. Barbara La Cara

Working for the ETH Zürich Rector's Staff (Strategic Projects Group) in the function of a project manager, Barbara advocates social change in the area of ETH talent management. Likewise, Barbara shared her experience about the particularities in the collaboration between social and natural scientists.
Banking Supervision by Dr. Martin Würmseher

Being active as a banking supervisor at FINMA, Martin shared his experiences on job search and public service with the TIM group. Likewise, he explained the particularities in the relationship between FINMA and private banks.
Innovation Consulting by Dr. Simge Tuna

Since finishing her PhD at the TIM Group, Simge worked as project manager at Johnson & Johnson and is currently working as Innovation Consultant at Zürich Insurance. She shared some insights about useful innovation models, trending areas and current challenges in the insurance industry with us.
UX Research by Dr. Amulya Tata

Three years after finishing her PhD at the TIM Group, Amulya shared her work experiences (in the first AlumniChat) with the group. At Advanon, a finetech startup, Amulya was engaged as a UX researcher and product manager. Later on at Google, she was contracted as UX researcher for caldenar and tasks teams. In this function, Amulya appreciates the available resources and (direct) impact she can have through her work.
